Can We Talk?
"No movies. No concerts. No sports. No restaurants. No parties. Limited workload.
Now that I've cleared your schedule, can we talk?"
No one likes social distancing. No one likes being "quarantined" in their homes. No one likes being isolated from family, friends, and neighbors. But God can bring good from it. There is some truth in the quote above which I saw on Facebook this week. God wants to spend more time with us. Maybe God is calling us to draw near to Him. Perhaps God could use the Covid-19 pandemic to bring revival in our land.
This is an opportunity for us to draw near to God, to pray, to cry out to God for healing. In II Chronicles 7:14, God identified four steps to experience His healing.
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves
and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
(II Chronicles 7:14)
One thing is certain - our land needs healed. We desperately need God to heal our country and the world of this Covid-19 pandemic. In the next few blogs, we will discuss the four prerequisites to God's healing: humility, prayer, seeking God, and repentance. These are also the four prerequisites to revival.
We desperately need physical healing in our land from the Covid-19 pandemic. But we need healing in America on many levels. We need economic healing. We need political healing. We need relational healing. We need moral healing. But our greatest need is spiritual healing.
Please use this time to draw near to God. Please pray with me for God's healing.
